Nigel your a good guy, but once again your wrong. Hatton and Margarito are nothing alke, for starters Margarito towers over Haton, hits a lot harder than Hatton, Has a lot more stamina then Hatton, Throws way more punches tahn Hatton, blocks punches better than Hatton, and lets not forget Margarito has one of the best chins in boxing today which he put on display aganst Cotto. The only comparison is that they are both pressure fighters. Also does anyone think that Margarito would have been remotely buzzed let alone sent face first into the turnbuckle against PBF? I think not! While I think PBF would have outpointed Margarito had they faught, PBF while he was considered a big puncher at super feather weight, he was relatively featherfisted at WW and he still koed Hatton which surprised me. PBF could,t knock down Zab Judah or Baldomire at WW so i find it flabbergasting how you think a tiny little dude like Hatton could beat Cotto....sorry bro I just dont get it....margz and hatton are nothing alike in terms of punch power and chin, and lets not forget Cotto was schooling Margz for the first 6 rounds before Margzs' size advantage and power advantage got to him. Hatton would get knocked out by Margz in the first 3 rounds, and would get knocked out by cotto by round 5.

Well I knew about Mitchel and Benn, but Mitchel is not anything special, though good. And Eubank was on his way out, getting too old and been in his best wars. Again an example of Joe getting the best of his opponents when they are done.
I was talking about just one or two ELITE names on his record, names that belongs to the ultimate top and in PRIME.
You can't name one..not even ONE on 15 years of boxing on this wannabe legends record.
It will forever haunt Calzaghe that he didnt step up when he could.
. Because this discussion will go on and on forever everywhere.
I respect Hatton alot more because it seems that he is willing to fight whoever.
I hope JC will enjoy his Money, because he can't really enjoy what he did in boxing..
PS calling people idiots and biased because they dont agree with you should be below your level.

I challenge anyone here to name a fighter currently at 140lbs that would beat Hatton!!!
Timothy Bradley is the only "decent" name who I see in the "Junior Welterweight" division that could possible give Hatton a challenge...but I still think Hatton would beat him down!!!
So c'mon let's here who all the Hatton haters can think of AT 140lbs...who can beat Hatton...
My answer is NOBODY! Hatton is by far the best fighter at 140lbs..IN THE WORLD!!!
If Zab Judah officially comes down to 140lbs and stays there...I think he is the ONLY dude who can challenge Hatton for the title of "Best 140 pounder"!

Hmm I did some more research on JCs career and watched some more of his old fights and I'm slowly starting to change my view on him. He was/is better than I thought.
I like his style and he has better technique at a closer look than what you see at first. Only thing I can blame him of is not fighting jones/toney/hopkins back then, but I blame them as well for not fighting him.
It's very annoying that top people like that are not fighting each other and waste their talent figthing lesser opponents. But I guess it's business and politics.
Btw, JC is much better than Hatton. He is much more solid.

Roy never fought the top fighters at all, he fought some, just like Calzaghe, but not alot.
"Jones began 1999 by knocking out New York City police officer Rick Frazier. After this, many boxing critics started to criticize Jones for fighting overmatched mandatories who few had ever heard of. "
"He was also criticized for never fighting Dariusz Michalczewski, an unbeaten Polish fighter who had been stripped of the WBA & IBF championship belts in 1997 without losing them in the ring."
And Roy blatentley ducked Hopkins for the last 10 years since he knew Hopkins would probably win the rm.

Hold up, you said Roy fights the top fighters all the time.
So lets see, he fought Hopkins and Toney, good. Hopkins wasn't the same fighter he was a few years later. This was when RJJ refused to fight him again.
Trinidad was shot, he'd just lost 2 of his last 4.
He got KTFO by Tarver, who's best years are behind him.
Monetell Griffin & Vinny Paz? Hardly the top fighters.
So you say he fought the best competetion the whole of his career?

Bernard was in the same prime as RJ,
When he fought Trinidad Roy only had 1 fight in between wht like 3 KOs in a row??
Montell Griffin was Champion b4 Roy so how he hardly good fighter?
Vinny Paz is a future HOFer...
Tarver WAS his prime at the time.

i dunno about both being in thier primes. i woudl say bernard kinda grew into his midldewieght champ perosna.
he seemed to jab and move more. which coupled with his clinical flatfootedness. made a really hurky jerky fighter. he was th ecounterpuncher that he becam elater on.
