when did the game originally launch
do you have old 2d graphs pics
when did new graphs launch
how long did it take to develop
when did hof open
when was lonsdale tourny (2003?)
i can write a really short one without that info but i can make it way longer and more detailed if i do get it
also i can put ob3d on the same page since i don't know too much about it
1) 2001
2) 2004
3) That time
4) 2002
5) yes Londsdale tourny was 2003
Well just write about 2D if that's what you know about. You could for example use old graph to explain how 2001 version looked and a more recent picture to describe how it looked after.

You missed Cassius Clay (from Lonsdale) and Covergaard

It would be great to an article of OB listed here :
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fighting_games
2d and 3d are listed there but there is no article describing them. I'm not really a good writer and I have never tried to make a real wikipedia article before..so if anyone knows his way around wikipedia and would like to do this, it could possible bring more people online.
I kind of feel that it's ridiculous that a game like http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_Punch_II from 1992 is mentioned and not a word about OB.

By myself. I don't have time next 2-3 days to fight. Boon is champ now.

This is what I plan to work on in the future of OB2D.
1. Fix current server problems - CHECK
2. Destroy forum spammers - CHECK
3. Whatever future bug that prevents the game from working properly.
4. Show all ratings on mainpage.
5. Viewing of real old fights (you can't see some old fights)
6. If suddenly a huge amount of players start playing ob it might require certain server or client changes. Probably not likely to happen but who knows.
7. Fix of exploits. Sometimes a player finds a foolproof style that renders all other strategies useless (ex. how lean jab used to work).
8. Whatever idea I suddenly get into my head.
And down the line, but ONLY if I find time for it. No promise.
1. Improved graphics and user interface system. I have a few ideas and Java offers a lot more in the graphics department now than it did in the beginning of OB.
2. Single player version
3. Mobile version.
4. If I find a week of free time, I would like to bring back the very first version of OB (see picture).
5. If I or someone else come up with a simply revolutionizing idea.
So there you have it. To me OB2D is a complete game and it doesn't require a lot of development anymore.
Sure you could probably add a little here and there, but it's complete right now. It doesn't give me a challenge to work on anymore and I don't think it's possible to emulate boxing that much better using 2D sprites.
But lately I realized that it's a good game on its own and for what it is, and it deserves to stay, especially considering its rich history.
So players of OB, don't worry, game will stay online.
Other than that I will concentrate on 3D and some other projects I have cooking.

I changed protocol to UDP. Should take care of lag + UDP is a much faster protocol so some might even experience a boost.
Please someone, get online and test it. If it doesnt work right away, try to clear your internet cache.

Yes a lot of comments are very negative, and I don't react to them. I'll deal with all problems in my own time. Important thing is, i WILL deal with them, and OB2D is not going away.
