I know this has been talked about alot, so here it is: a downloadable OB client.
This one can start its own server as well.
Remember to start your own server, you need to fiddle around with your firewall or router settings.

I have deleted all spam finally. And the game has moved to another server.
There's something wrong with 2d though, seems like fights are very slow, like you have ping 200, even if your ping is really 20. 3D works fine so it's a mystery.
Server is much better than the old one so I don't understand it. I'll try to fix it of course.
In the meantime I'll make it an option to start your own server.

Im not sure what it is, just that some gets that error. Sometimes updating gfx drivers solves this problem.

i open my door and get out. the catfish is taller and has sexy muscles that the gangster does not have.

then the 2nd guy gets out.

this was no whitey gangster. this was the whitey bodybuilder who forgot to win mr.universe last year. this guy had muscles like sylvestor stallone.

"yep, im definately fucked." thinks the Catfish.

"think you're tough huh?" grumbles Stallone.

*chuckle* goes Whitey. (no wonder he was acting all tough, if Stallone wasn't there, Whitey's head would be mixed in with the pavement right now)

"i'm not looking for a fight guys." says I, Catfish. (although i doubt Stallone cares.)

I brace myself for the worst, Stallone raises his arm.....

and puts out his hand, grabs mine, and shakes it laughing.

"i was just joking with you man you're a pretty cool guy" Stallone bellows, laughing.

Whitey snickers and goes "did we get you stressed?"

"ya scared the shit out of me." I say, (Stallone did anyway.)

"Man you're pretty chilled, you wanna come back to our place for a beer?" Stallone's deep voice growls.

The Catfish of course must refuse, because he's too damn sexy, and too damn scared to go back with them.

"No i'm just learning how to drive a standard." I say. (don't ask why i said this, because i still can't figure that shit out, i drive an automatic. but i'd like to see how good your responses would be to that kind of situation.)

"alright cool, take it easy man." And Sylvestor and Whitey climb into their car and drive away.

The Catfish goes to get his small $1.47 rootbeer at mcdonald's and heads home.

OB2D is not 2D but 1D..2D requires freedom of movement along 2 axes, OB2D only supports movement around 1, the X axis.
And 3D is only 2D, because you can only move along the X and Z axis..if it was truly 3D you would be able to move up and down, along the y axis.
So from now on, it's ob1d and ob2d

After all we are old timers that came here when it started and love the game and you can't let us down...

Besides, All the people you help to get to 2D will inevitably check out 3D, as they are a package and you cannot seperate one from another.

How are you going to get people to 3d? do you have the motivation to do that? because there are plenty of people playing 2d who will help you with marketing and advertising as they have said or shown (to me anyway).

And if you show the peeps who stil play 2d (most of those who comment in the forums) some attention, then it will not only be appreciated but rewarded.

Its hard only to do "bits" on something, at least for me..I have maybe 5-6 hours a week right now for OB, if I should work on a singleplayer, I could easily spent those 5-6 hours the next 4 months.
I prefer spending them on 3D. If the situation changed maybe, but I just don't see how that would happen.

HAha I remember that Thai boxing game, in fact I bought it just like I bought every other boxing games back then..it had ok graphics, but it sucked as a game.

My favorite from the era is Frank Brunos boxing for Commodore..a Punch Out clone..second was Barry McGuigan boxing.

Favorite fight game from back then was Way of Exploding Fist 1+2 and Internation Karate and IK+. Really good games.

Fight Night is a very different game from ob3d..the ones that knows both says that OB3D is much better

Well some does play it just not many from the2d game.

Care or care..its putting it wrong. Im going to make a singleplayer in 3D, so I do care about boxing singleplayer games. However, I found 2D too limited now that I have made a 3d game that uses physics..its in within reach to simulate actual boxing, so it's hard for me to go back to 2d
